FIGHTING COUNTERFEITS: A WAR WORTH FIGHTING
The business of counterfeit goods is one of the largest underground industries in the world and growing rapidly.
According to the International Chamber of Commerce, it accounts for 5 to 7 percent of all global trade. Customs authorities detained more than €41 million fake and counterfeit products at the EU’s external border in 2016. The goods had a total value of over €670 million. Furthermore, everyday products, which are potentially dangerous to health and safety – such as food and drink, medicines, toys and household electrical goods, accounted for over a third of all intercepted goods.
In DH Anticounterfeit we strongly believe, that fighting counterfeit is a way to make the world a better place.
